1.1 Purpose
According to the methods required by the new national power generation (2002) No. 777 "Preventive Test Regulations for Power Safety Tools and Equipment", it can more scientifically and reasonably quickly complete the power frequency withstand voltage test of common auxiliary insulating tools such as insulating gloves, insulating boots, and insulating rubber pads. Auxiliary insulating safety tools refer to those whose insulation strength is not to withstand the working voltage of equipment or lines, but only to strengthen the protective effect of basic insulating safety tools, to prevent contact voltage, step voltage, and leakage current arc from harming operators. Auxiliary insulating safety tools cannot be used to directly contact live parts of high-voltage equipment. Safety tools belonging to this category include: insulating gloves, insulating boots, insulating rubber pads, etc.
This instrument is mainly used to carry out power frequency withstand voltage tests on safety tools such as insulating gloves and insulating boots, in order to determine whether these tools meet the conditions of use and ensure the personal safety of workers.
2. Main functional features of the insulating boots and gloves withstand voltage test device
2.1 According to the new industry standard requirements, the leakage current is assessed as the test basis, which is more scientific.
2.2 According to the new industry standard requirements, insulating boots must use special electrodes without filling with water. Insulating boots that pass the test can be put into use immediately, and the service life of insulating boots is improved.
2.3 Combined structure, movable, transportable, and easy to prepare.
2.4 It can complete the withstand voltage test of 3 pairs (6 pieces) of insulating boots or gloves at one time, and accurately detect 6 channels of leakage current simultaneously.
2.5 Automatic timing.

4. Instructions for using the insulating boots and gloves withstand voltage test device
It consists of two main parts: the test host and the test bench. After unpacking the packaging boxes of the two parts, fix the test bench, and connect the ground wires of the host and the discharge rod. Connect the control wires between the host and the high-voltage box.
During the test, fill the test object with steel balls (about 1.5-2.0 kg of metal balls per insulating boot), then adjust the electrode rod through the locking screw so that the electrode is inserted into the insulating boot (glove) to the same position as the steel ball surface.
