DC resistance tester is a device for measuring the DC resistance of transformer windings and high-power inductance equipment.

Due to the adoption of power supply technology, it has the advantages of fast testing speed and high measurement accuracy. What issues should we pay attention to during the use of the DC resistance tester?

1. The test leads must only be removed after the discharge indication is complete. Since the output end of the instrument is equipped with a discharge circuit, after the instrument is reset, the inductive energy will still be discharged through the instrument. To avoid harm to personnel and equipment caused by inductive discharge, wait until the discharge indication is complete before removing the test leads.

2. During measurement, for no-load tap-changing transformers, switching of the tap changer is not allowed throughout the entire testing process.

3. If the power suddenly goes out during testing, do not immediately remove the wiring. Since the instrument will automatically start discharging, wait at least half a minute before removing the wiring.

4. During measurement, do not short-circuit and ground the windings that are not being tested, as this will slow down the magnetization process of the transformer, prolong the data stabilization time, or cause incorrect values.

5. Before connecting the power supply, be sure to check the power supply voltage: AC 220V±10%, 50Hz.

6. The instrument is for power-off testing, so before starting the test, confirm that the equipment under test is powered off and disconnected from all other live equipment.

7. Before starting the test, confirm that the instrument casing is reliably grounded.

8. During testing, do not pile up debris on the device panel or around the instrument.

9. If accessories need to be replaced, confirm the instrument model with the manufacturer to ensure a consistent match.

10. During use, pay attention to preventing oil contamination and moisture.

11. When the current exceeds the range and the preset value cannot be reached, the instrument will remain in the "charging" state. At this time, press the reset button, and after the instrument resets, select a smaller current gear again.
