It is a comprehensive cable fault detection instrument. It can test high-resistance flashover faults, high and low resistance grounding, short circuits, cable breaks, poor contact and other faults. If equipped with an acoustic positioning device, it can accurately determine the exact location of the fault point. It is particularly suitable for testing power cables and communication cables of various types and different voltage levels.
Product Features:
1. Complete functions, safe, fast and accurate fault testing. The instrument uses low-voltage pulse method and high-voltage flashover method to detect various cable faults, especially flashover and high-resistance faults, which can be tested directly without burning through. If equipped with an acoustic positioning device, the exact location of the fault can be accurately determined.
2. High testing accuracy. The instrument adopts high-speed data sampling technology with A/D sampling speed of 100MHz, making the reading resolution 1m and the detection blind zone 1m.
3. High intelligence. Test results are automatically displayed on the large-screen LCD in the form of waveforms and data, making fault judgment intuitive. It also comes with a full Chinese menu display operation function, requiring no special training for operators.
4. This cable fault detector has waveform and parameter storage and recall functions. It uses non-volatile devices, so waveforms and data are not lost after power off.
5. It has dual-trace display function, which can compare the test waveform of the faulty cable with the normal waveform, facilitating further judgment of the fault.
6. It has waveform expansion ratio function. By changing the waveform ratio, the waveform can be expanded for precise testing.
7. The positions of the dual cursors can be changed arbitrarily, directly displaying the direct or relative distance between the fault point and the test point.
8. It has the function of modifying the propagation speed according to different cables under test.
9. Compact portable design, powered by built-in rechargeable battery, convenient to carry and use.

Basic Working Principle of the Instrument
Basic Principle of the Instrument
According to the fault detection principle, when the instrument is in the flashover trigger mode, the flashover echo formed by the instantaneous breakdown discharge at the fault point is a random single transient waveform. Therefore, the test instrument should have the function of a storage oscilloscope to capture and display single transient waveforms. This instrument adopts digital storage technology, uses high-speed A/D converter sampling, converts the input transient analog signal into digital signal in real time, stores it in high-speed memory, and after processing by the CPU microprocessor, sends it to the LCD display control circuit, turning it into time-sequential dot matrix information, thus displaying the currently sampled waveform parameters on the LCD screen.
When the instrument is in the pulse trigger mode, it sends out detection pulses at a certain period to the cable under test and the input circuit, immediately starting A/D operation. The sampling, storage, processing and display are the same as the above process. The LCD screen should show the reflected echo
