I. Purpose:
1. Used for heating oil in open or closed oil tanks. SRY3 tubular electric heater is used for heating flowing or circulating oil. Due to its high surface load, this model is only suitable for use in oil with good heat transfer effects.
2. Working voltage allowable error: not greater than 1.1 times its rated value. The shell should be effectively grounded.
3. Working environment: relative humidity not greater than 95%, no explosive, flammable, and corrosive gases.
4. Metal tube material: No. 10 steel.
5. Working temperature: 100°C.
6. Working pressure of SRY2 and SRY4 types is less than 0.6MPa.
7. Oil tank opening: ≥φ65.
II. Usage, Maintenance, and Precautions:
1. The dimension "B" in the outline drawing must be fully immersed in oil to avoid burning out the component. The oil to be heated should be non-corrosive.
2. When SRY3 tubular electric heater is used to melt solid oils such as asphalt and paraffin, the voltage should be reduced, and then increased to the rated voltage after melting, to prevent heat concentration and reduce the service life of the element.
3. If carbon deposits are found on the tube surface, they must be removed before use to avoid reducing efficiency or even burning out the component.
4. Components should be stored in a dry place. If the insulation resistance drops below 1 megohm due to long-term storage, it can be dried in an oven at about 200°C for several hours (or powered at low voltage for several hours) to restore insulation resistance.
