Principle Structure:
The high-voltage phase detector consists of a transmitter and a receiver that are electrically isolated from each other. Both devices are equipped with electrodes that can be connected to (or contact) the tested wire. One red transmitter has a hook-shaped electrode for hanging onto the wire, while the other yellow receiver has a Y-shaped electrode for contacting the wire. These electrodes serve as antennas for transmitting and receiving signals. The ends of both the transmitter and receiver should be connected to the matching insulating operating rod.
After normal operation, the transmitting device processes the collected grid voltage signal with phase relationship, modulates it, and then transmits it to the receiving device. The receiving device demodulates the received grid voltage signal with phase characteristics and compares it in real-time with the grid voltage signal with phase relationship collected by itself, thereby measuring the phase difference. In the PD-I high-voltage phase detector, during power line phase verification, a phase difference less than 10° is considered same phase, and a phase difference greater than 30° is considered different phase.
